• Open “anes08s.sav” file.
• Click on “Data,” and on “Weight Cases….”
• Select “Weight cases by”; in the left window, click on “weight” and click on the right arrow; click on “OK.”
• Click on “Data,” and on “Select Cases….”
• Select “If condition is satisfied"; click on "If..."; in the left arrow, click on "housevote" and click on the right arow; in the right window, type "<5"; click on “OK.”
• Click on “Analyze,” “Descriptive Statistics,” and “Crosstabs….”
• In left window, select “housevote” and click on the top right arrow next to “Row(s):.”
• In left window, select “partyid3” and click on the second right arrow next to “Column(s):.”
• In left window, select “region” and click on the third right arrow.
• Click on “Statistics…”; click on “Phi and Cramer’s V”; click on “Continue.”
• Click on “Cells”; under “Percentages,” select “Column”; click on “Continue” and “OK.”
