These web pages are validating, Sect. 508-compliant HTML 4.01 Transitional and CSS, based on the Cal Poly Pomona templates developed by the Web Team (which in this case means me). Yes, I can write XHTML 1.0 Strict, but we made the conscious choice to use HTML 4.01 for the templates, since we intend them to be used by people with a range of skills which may not include proper XML termination of unpaired tags. So there.
The photo at the top of the page shows droplets at the edge of a leaf in the BioTrek Rain Bird Rainforest Learning Center. The photograph is my work, as is the bulk of the BioTrek web site.
The little icons to the left were made by me or by Jerry Lerma.
The body font is Arial, which is surprisingly usable at the tiny size of the template (you won't see me using it in print for anything public, though). The Cal Poly Pomona logotype is based on Centaur Bold, and my name on the graphic at top is Myriad Bold.
