Your task is to produce bibliographic citations from ten different references. Because this is a virtual course, I can’t hand the references to you, so instead I’ve provided digital images of their covers and the important pages for finding the bibliographic information (I haven’t included any unimportant pages - it’s too much of a hassle to make the images - but there is plenty of unimportant information on many of the important pages). For every page, there are two versions, a “web”-sized image that you can easily view with your web browser, but that might not clearly show every letter, and a “high-resolution” scan that will print out at original size if you have a 300 dpi printer, but which is cumbersome to work with using your browser. Don’t use the high-resolution scan unless you absolutely can’t read the web-sized image.
Don’t even think of trying to complete this assignment without reading the references above, even if you’ve done bibliographic citations before. Each citation must be turned in using a specific format:
Here is an example:
The exact format of each of the four items is not crucial (it will be later, though), but it is important to include information when in doubt, rather than leaving it out. Citations in the “standard” biology style, e.g.
will not be accepted (it’s the same as turning in no assignment at all) and I will not tell you that you’ve done it wrong and give you a chance to do it again.
Send all ten citations in a single message, in the same order as below. The email subject must be BIO 190 Assignment 2. Remember that if an article is indicated, you are providing the citation of the article, not of the book or journal that includes it.
