The Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA) is a national effort that provides colleges and universities with information about their students’ performance on tasks that require them to think critically, reason analytically, solve realistic problems, and write clearly. The CLA examines how well a sample of freshmen and seniors do on nationally administered tests.
The first report provides initial results for our freshman sample that tested in fall 2005 and our senior sample that tested in spring 2006. The second report provides re-test results for our fall 2005 freshmen who were re-tested in spring 2007 as rising juniors. These students will be re-tested again as seniors in the spring 2009.
