Chairs of the group serve a two year term: the first year is served as vice-chair and chair-elect; the second year is served as chair.  An election is held every Fall quarter to choose a new chair elect and the term of office starts on the first day of classes in Fall quarter. The Librarians Group is also obligated to hold an election in the Winter quarter to elect RTP committee members when there is an upcoming vacancy. The Chair manages the election of Librarians to the Faculty Hearing Panel .
