These other faculty committees are required
to have a member from the Library. Only one of the elections to these
groups is managed by the Librarians Group.

Faculty Center for Professional
Development Advisory Committee (FDAC)
Evaluates Mini Grant applications and serves as general advisors to
the Head of the Faculty Center |

Faculty
Hearing Panel
A number of Librarians (25% of
the departmental Full Time Equivalent Faculty (FTEF) composition) are
required to be elected to a University-wide pool, also known as the
Faculty Hearing Panel (FHP), from which will be drawn Faculty Hearing
Committees (FHCs) to hear and render grievance decision recommendations
on certain individual faculty unit grievances. Eligibility for election
is covered in the links below. The election is managed by the
Chair of the Librarians Group. |

Professional Leave Committee
Evaluates professional leave requests (Sabbaticals, Difference in Pay
Leaves) |

Research Council
Oversees the distribution of RSCA
grants and the President's Special Travel Fund for Students. Members of
the council are also encouraged to attend special events that support
undergraduate research. |
