Flying To the Pomona area

Ontario International Airport (ONT) is located approximately 30 minutes East of campus, and the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is located approximately 50 minutes West of campus.

If Cal Poly Pomona is your first stop, we suggest that you fly into Ontario International Airport; it is closer to campus and you will encounter less traffic.  If you are planning to stay on campus at Kellogg West (see Accommodation), you may want to take advantage of their free airport shuttle.

Driving directions to Shilo Inn Suites Hilltop Pomona
From Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): Take the 105 freeway East, transition to the 605 North, transition to the San Bernardino (60) freeway, transition to the Orange (57) freeway North. Exit at Temple Avenue and turn left (down the hill). Immediately after crossing over the freeway, turn left into the Shilo Inn Suites Hilltop driveway (you will see a Wendy's hamburger restaurant as you enter).

From Ontario International Airport (ONT): Take the San Bernardino (10) freeway West and transition to the Orange (57) freeway South. Exit at Temple Avenue. Immediately across Temple Avenue is the Shilo Inn Suites Hilltop driveway (you will see a Wendy's hamburger restaurant as you enter).

From Orange County: Take the 57 freeway North and exit at Temple Avenue and turn left (down the hill). Immediately after crossing over the freeway, turn left into the Shilo Inn Suites Hilltop driveway (you will see a Wendy's hamburger restaurant as you enter).

From the 10 Freeway (East or West): Take the San Bernardino (10) freeway and transition to the Orange (57) freeway South. Exit at Temple Avenue. Immediately across Temple Avenue is the Shilo Inn Suites Hilltop driveway (you will see a Wendy's hamburger restaurant as you enter).

From the 60 Freeway traveling East: Follow the junction into the 57 freeway North. Exit at Temple Avenue and turn left (down the hill). Immediately after crossing over the freeway, turn left into the Shilo Inn Suites Hilltop driveway (you will see a Wendy's hamburger restaurant as you enter).

Public transportation to the Pomona Area

Whether you are from Southern California or visiting from another country, public transportation is another option. Take advantage of our local trains: Metrolink covers Los Angeles to Pomona (1-800-371-LINK) or Metrorail Link covers Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino (1-800-966-6428); local buses: Foothill Transit covers the Pomona/San Gabriel area (1-800-743-3463) or MTA covers Los Angeles County (1-800-266-6833) or Omni covers Pomona/San Bernardino (1-800-966-6428).

Driving Directions to Cal Poly Pomona

From Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): Take 105 Freeway East, transition to  605 Freeway North, transition to 60 Freeway toward Pomona, transition to 57 Freeway North. Exit at Temple Avenue and turn left (down the hill). Turn right on South Campus Drive, left on Kellogg Drive, and turn left when you see the Visitor Parking Booth.

From Ontario International Airport (ONT): Take San Bernardino (10) Freeway West and exit at Kellogg Drive. Stay in your left lane, you should be on the left side of the large electronic marquee that welcomes visitors. Follow Kellogg Drive. After the stop light, turn right when you see the Visitor Parking Booth.

From Orange County: Take 57 Freeway North and exit at Temple Avenue and turn left (down the hill). Turn right on South Campus Drive, left on Kellogg Drive, and turn left when you see the Visitor Parking Booth.
