Father James L Heft, S.M., Institute for Advanced Catholic Studies, USC

James L. Heft obtained his doctoral degree in historical theology at the University of Toronto. He spent many years at the University of Dayton where he served as chair of the Theology Department for six years, Provost of the University for eight years, and then Chancellor for ten years. He left the University of Dayton in the summer of 2006 to work on the founding of the Institute for Advanced Catholic Studies at the University of Southern California, where he is currently Alton Brooks Professor of Religion and President.

Dr. Michele Langford, Pepperdine University

Michele Langford is a Coordinator of Francophone Studies INTS Council, and Modern Languages Representative. As a professor of Francophone Studies, she earned her Ph.D. degree in French at University of California, Irvine. She has broad areas of expertise including different aspects of French language and culture. She is an honorary member of Academia Siculo-Normanna, Monreale, Italy, and has received numerous awards.

Dr. Peter Ross, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona

Peter Ross earned his Ph.D. degree from the City University of New York. Since 2006, he is an Associate Professor at California Polytechnic University, Pomona. His areas of specialization are Philosophy of Mind, Metaphysics, Philosophy and Psychology of Perception, Moral Psychology. Peter Ross? current research interest is focused on I focus on issues in the area of philosophy of mind and metaphysics, including the nature of color and perceptual states, the nature of moral judgment, and the problem of free will.

Dr. Deepak Shimkhada, Claremont McKenna College

Deepak Shinkhada earned his Ph.D. degree from Claremont Graduate University and has taught courses in Asian regions, including Hinduism and Buddhism at Claremont McKenna. After retiring from Claremont McKenna College in 2008, he teaches courses in Hinduism as an adjunct professor for the School of Religion at Claremont Graduate University, California State University,- Northridge, and Theravada Buddhism at the University of West. His publications include books, numerous, books and articles.

Dr. Debbora A. Whitson, CSU Pomona

Debbora Whitson graduated from Arizona State University with a Ph.D. in Consumer Psychology. She has been a full professor of International Business and Marketing at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona for over 20 years. Dr. Whitson has worked as a consultant on a number of market feasibility projects in the Inland Empire, San Diego and Phoenix. Dr. Whitson has presented her research at various leadership, educational, and business conferences across the United States as well as in Mexico, Canada, Europe, and Australia Having lived in various countries, Dr. Whitson brings to the podium a special knowledge of cross-cultural nuances.
