Syllabus
Textbook: Functions of One Complex Variable I, by John. B. Conway
Homework:
You will be assigned lots of homework
(see daily syllabus). You are expected to hand in neat
solutions, and attempt all the problems. Bonus problems can be used to
supplement your homework score. Late homework will not be accepted. You may ask
me questions about the homework during class or office hours, but only before
the class homework is due. Homework Assignments,
Feel
free to work additional problems and ask questions in class about any problems
you tried. You should plan to spend at
least 8 hours/week studying the material and doing your homework. You are
encouraged to work together on homework, but the solutions handed in should be your
own. NOTE
that homework represents an important part of the grade.
Project: A group presentation will be assigned during the quarter
Exams: One midterm exam will be held on May 7. The final will be consist of an in-class part, and a take home exam... Make-ups for the midterm exam will be granted at the discretion of the instructor, and only for VERY GOOD REASONS. You will need to notify me before the missed exam or as soon as possible, in order for me to consider your reason. Make up exam may be harder than the class scheduled exam.

The final grade will be computed as follows:
Homework 20%
Project 10%
Midterm Exam 30%
Final Exam 40%

scale:
A+ 97-100, A 93-96%, A- 90-92%, B+ 87-89, B 83-86%,
B- 80-82%
