I&IT Systems department provides the campus community with various system-based services. The design, development, security, maintenance, and support for these services are provided by the I&IT Systems team.
I&IT Systems provides the following services:
| Email - All Cal Poly Pomona email for faculty, staff, and
students is provided by the I&IT Systems department. Additional email
services such as Outlook Web Access and SpamAssassin are also managed by
I&IT Systems. |

| File Sharing - All faculty, staff, students, and
departments have been given file
sharing space on Cal Poly Pomona's servers by I&IT Systems.
These files are automatically backup on a daily basis. |

| Data Network - The campus WAN and connections to the
network, which includes ten routers, more than 800 electronic network switches
and 20,000 connections for more than 200 Local Area Networks. Manages the the additions and deletions of network connections; maintains, replaces and adds electronics equipment; installs and services equipment in new buildings or departments joining the network; directs network security; manages the campus connection to the Internet. |

| HTTP and FTP - I&IT Systems provides the campus
community with HTTP and FTP
services, incorporating various scripting languages for additional
functionality. Secure FTP and HTTP services are also provided and
recommended by the Systems staff. |

| Intranet - The Intranet provides a centralized
environment for account data and administrative collaboration. The
Intranet is available for all faculty, staff, and students. |
|
| Account Management - The I&IT Systems department has
created an environment that automatically creates and manages various faculty,
staff, and student accounts. |
|
| Server Operating System Environment - The operating system
environments that host various services and applications (such as PeopleSoft,
Oracle, etc) are managed by the I&IT Systems staff. These operating
systems including Solaris, Windows, OpenVMS, and others. |
