Cal Poly Pomona

I&IT Learning provides instructional design services to assist faculty in redesigning existing courses or parts of courses or designing new courses for online learning, blended delivery (partially online, partially face-to-face) and extended learning (as supplement to a traditional course). Faculty can team with an experienced instructional designer who can help guide the project to ensure that the new or resigned course or module meets the faculty’s stated objectives and increase the potential for reuse in future sections of the same course and repurpose in related courses.  The instructional designer further helps the faculty address their pedagogical challenges by employing sound teaching, learning, and design practices; incorporating current and appropriate electronic media; and partnering with other campus resources to enhance the project.  In addition to redesign assistance, I&IT designers also offer their expertise in online course facilitation with suggestions and best practice examples on how to integrate online pedagogy and eLearning technologies for student success and effectively facilitate the online interactions.
