JERRY KIRKPATRICK, PROFESSOR (Ph.D., City University of New York) teaches marketing research,
international marketing management, and marketing problems.
His published work has appeared in the Journal of Advertising, Managerial and Decision Economics,
and the American Journal of Economics and Sociology, as well as in numerous conference proceedings.
His book In Defense of Advertising was published in 1994; in 1997 it was translated into Portuguese
and published in Brazil. Prior to joining the department in 1988 he taught at Northeastern University
in Boston and prior to that served as senior account executive for the Young and Rubicam Direct Marketing Group in Los Angeles.
