The 4/10 summer work schedule will be observed from June 16 through August 21, 2014, except for two weeks (June 30 – July 4, 2014 and July 28 – August 1, 2014) when we revert back to a 5 day/8 hour per day schedule.
During the summer 4/10 schedule, all university offices will be open for campus business and operations from Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., to serve students and the public. Effective August 25, 2014, the campus will return to the normal Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., work schedule.
This summer work schedule change is observed in order to reduce energy costs and the university’s carbon footprint.
The 4/10 summer schedule was implemented in 2008. The goal then and every summer since implementation, has been to promote energy, utility, and environmental savings which is consistent with our environmental and renewable energy commitment and the efficient delivery of summer operations.
