Open Enrollment Information

The Open Enrollment Period will be from September 14, 2009 through October 9, 2009, with the effective date of January 1, 2010 for changes filed during this period.

During Open Enrollment, eligible employees may enroll, change health plans, delete family members or add eligible family members not currently enrolled under this program.

Open Enrollment is also the period when employees can enroll or re-enroll in the Health Care Reimbursement Account (HCRA) or Dependent Care Reimbursement Account (DCRA). IRS rules require re-enrollment each tax year to participate in HCRA and/or DCRA. If you do not wish to make any changes to your existing benefit enrollment(s), no action is required

How to File an Open Enrollment Change

  1. Complete an Open Enrollment Worksheet
  2. Submit Completed Worksheet to Benefit Services no later than Friday, October 9, 2009, 4:30 p.m.
  3. Sign official open enrollment documents no later than Thursday, October 15, 2009, 4:30 p.m. The official enrollment documents will be prepared by Benefit Services after you submit your worksheet. Benefit Services will notify you when the documents are ready for you to sign.
  4. Check your enrollment choices against your paycheck stub at the end of December. Contact Benefit Services to report any descrepancies.
