Dr. Klein is a professor in the Food Marketing and
Agribusiness Management/Agricultural Education Department. He
has been on the faculty at Cal Poly Pomona University since 1981.
Prior to that he was a marketing extension economist for two years
at Kansas State University. He has considerable experience working
with business and industry. He has worked with business leaders
and government officials when developing international trade and
investment conferences. Dr. Klein has conducted a survey of Southern
California food and agribusiness firms to assess the educational
needs for prospective managers in the food system. Additionally,
he has substantial international consulting experience in Russia,
Sri Lanka, Yemen Arab Republic, and Ghana, West Africa. He also
taught at Tokyo University of Agriculture in Japan for two years.

Dr. Klein has conducted research on the educational
needs of southern California food and agricultural firms. His
current research interests are in the area of ethics and values
and the reaction of agriculturalists and consumers to scientific
and technological knowledge in the food and agricultureal system.
