Text:  Computer Accounting Essentials Using Quick Books for the Web

Course Objectives:

1.   Use critical thinking skills in the case analysis.

2.   Identify accounting information.

3.  Input accounting information into QuickBooks accounting software.

4.  Prepare financial statements.

5.  Analyze financial statements.

Determination of Grade:

The points for each assignment is listed on the Schedule of Assignments (Total 100).

A = 90 - 100.   B = 80 - 89.   C = 70 - 79.   D = 60 - 69.   F = Below 69.

 

The University has strict guidelines for academic integrity in the University Catalog.  All forms of violating academic integrity will be reported to Judicial Affairs.

In all your written assignments you must not take credit for another's work.  The definition in the catalog is as follows:

"Plagiarism is intentionally or knowingly presenting words, ideas or work of others as one’s own work. Plagiarism includes copying homework, copying lab reports, copying computer programs, using a work or portion of a work written or created by another but not crediting the source, using one’s own work completed in a previous class for credit in another class without permission, paraphrasing another’s work without giving credit, and borrowing or using ideas without giving credit." University Catalog (p.49)


QuickBooks on line is available for 30 days free of charge.  In order to make the best use of this time without paying a monthly fee begin your work on  January 27th  (not before) and end it on February 24th.  Your final assignment will be due on February 24th.  You may turn in assignments early.

The book will explain the process of establishing QuickBooks and setting up your account.

You should use your name as the company name.
