The George P. Hart Award

The George P. Hart Award

The George P. Hart Award for Outstanding Faculty Leadership was established following the untimely death of Professor Hart. The award was set up with memorial donations from George's many friends, his widow and the university. It is a living memorial to the outstanding qualities of Professor Hart, who, by precept and example, demonstrated the highest qualities of personal and professional leadership with students, peers, the university and the community at large.

Each year, the George P. The individual selected will receive a monetary award in the amount of $1,000.
