The symposium is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2009 from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Kellogg West Conference Center and Lodge (See Building 78 on the Campus Map) on the Cal Poly Pomona Campus (for directions: http://www.csupomona.edu/visitors.php). We are showcasing research conducted by our doctoral candidates and twenty-five selected Master’s students through poster presentations. This is an excellent opportunity for the current graduate students in the College of Education and Integrative Studies to become acquainted with the great examples of the culminating experience required for the MA degree. The featured guest speaker is Dr. Robert Pletka, Cal Poly Pomona’s first doctorate recipient from the Joint Doctorate program (Class of ’06). Dr. Pletka, currently serving as the Superintendent of El Centro Elementary School District, has been honored as a distinguished alumni at UC Irvine (2008) and Cal Poly Pomona (2009).
Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. You will have the opportunity to participate in selecting the best three poster presentations. Since space is limited, please RSVP to Kelly Mitchell (klmitchell@csupomona.edu) by May 10, 2009.
We are looking forward to sharing this special celebration with you.
