Advising in an integral part of helping students maximize their academic success. Faculty are often asked to advise students in their departments with little training or guidance. Even seasoned advisors are not experts in all of the changing policies and support services that relate to student success. The Graduation Initiative is launching a year-long discussion with the campus community to better understand the status of advising at Cal Poly Pomona and to provide recommendations to improve this important service.
