Course Description: Data representations. Computer arithmetic. Data path and control unit design. Pipelining. Memory technology and hierarchy. I/O devices and interfacing. Multiprocessing and alternative architectures.  

Prerequisites: CS 264 with a grade of C or better, or consent of instructor.
