Fang (Daisy) Tang joined the faculty of the Computer Science Department at California State Polytechnic University - Pomona as Assistant Professor in September 2006. Dr. Tang received her Ph.D. degree in computer science in 2006 from The University of Tennessee - Knoxville (UTK), performing her research on multi-robot systems. She received her M.S. degree in computer science from UTK in 2003, and her B.S. degree in computer science from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, in 2000.

Dr. Tang has been conducting research in the Distributed Intelligent Laboratory at UTK since 2003, and worked on the Software for Distributed Robotics project funded by DARPA. Her Ph.D. research focused on developing mechanisms to enable multiple heterogeneous robots to cooperate by autonomously forming robot coalitions to solve cooperative tasks. Her research interests also include multi-agent systems, human-robot interaction/cooperation, machine learning, educational robotics, and graphical user interface design.

Dr. Tang is a member of IEEE, AAAI, and UPE
