SAE Seminar - Wally Parks NHRA Museum

January 27 2007 - Pomona, CA- Cal Poly Pomona Formula Racing and Cal Poly SLO Racing featured with Jimmy Shine and Thom Taylor last Sat. at the NHRA Wally Parks Motorsports Museum.

The SoCal SAE & NHRA Museum panel featured two of the hot rod industry’s leading designers: Jimmy Shine and Thom Taylor. Jimmy and his TV crew filmed this educational series for his new TV show. As part of the event panel, Cal Poly Pomona Formula Racing gave a presentation about their Formula SAE program. The presentation highlighted: Student Benefits, 2007 Goals, and Team Sponsors. The team also announced its plans to attend Formula SAE Italy at the Ferrari test track in Fiorano this coming September. Team Manager Cameron Walters said, “The event turned out to be a great success with the team and the 2006 car drawing lots of exposure from Grand National Roadster Show fan’s visiting the museum.”
