October 2008 Updates

CCT - Completed Projects

Parking Lot P – 4 New street lights were added to the Residential Suites parking lot. Prior to this there were no lights. Now it is well light and safe for the students. Click to Zoom. A new 35ft tall by 150ft long safety netting has been added to the Cal Poly Broncos Baseball Field. About These Projects

Project 1

Parking Lot P - 4 street lights were installed at Lot P which is the Residential Suites parking area for the students. Prior to this there were no lights. The 4 light poles were removed and recycled from the demo area for the new Residential Suites II Project. Total cost of the project came in under budget at $18,625.00 and was completed in 2 weeks prior to the Fall Quarter start date of September 28, 2008.

Project 2

Building 3 ADA Parking - 2 handicap spaces and 3 regular spaces were modified at the west side of building 3 due to non-compliance with elevations. The project consisted of removing the existing asphalt and sub-base, leveling the parking areas, re-sloping the driveway for drainage, and installing new asphalt with base and sealer. Totaled cost of project was $12,750.00 and was completed in October.

Project 3

New Safety Netting - A new safety net has been installed at the Cal Poly Broncos baseball field. The new Residential Suites project has facilitated the need for the 150ft long x 35ft high net to prevent fly balls from hitting pedestrians that will be in the area and from damaging the new buildings and windows. The total cost of the project was $36,924.00 and was completed in October.
