About This Project

The Fire Alarm Upgrades project consists of engineering and designing a new system that complies with all current applicable standards and codes, communicates and integrates with other campus fire alarm systems and any potential future fire alarm related upgrades. The buildings being upgraded are 1, 2, 6, 9, 13, 25, 29, 41, 43 and 46. Due to good results, Buildings 67, 89 and 92 have been added to the Fire Alarm Upgrades for this year. There is also consideration on reprogramming the Fire Alarm System in Building 4. Last year, Buildings 7, 8 and 45 were completed.

Progress of Major Construction Activities

  • All current Buildings are complete.
  • The additional Buildings 67, 89 and 92 are under review by the State Fire Marshal.
  • Buildings 89A will also be added.
  • Buildings 86, 86A, 86B, and 86C are also due to receive a new fire alarm system but not as part of this project.

  • Buildings 13, 29 & 43 pretesting are pending.
  • State Fire Marshal’s final inspection pending pretesting.
