The new College of Science Biotechnology Building responds to the needs of the campus and the community. Space in the new building is allocated for students enrolled in biotechnology courses and general education and freshman level biology, chemistry, and geology courses. Students, industry employees, and community members share more than 107,000 square feet of classrooms, labs, offices, and a two-story conference center and the 2,923 square foot Rain Bird Rainforest Learning Center. Construction began September 1997 and was completed August 2000.
