The remodel will provide an increase in lecture space, lower division laboratory space, and 100 faculty offices. This project is a complete renovation, including asbestos abatement. The renovation is to extend the useful life of a 30-year-old building by another 20 to 25 years, including: a new roof, new exterior glazing, installation of an additional elevator, improvements to the existing elevator, new ADA-accessible restrooms on each floor, fire sprinklers and life safety systems throughout the facility, installation of energy efficient lighting and HVAC, improved exterior circulation, and improved exterior lighting.
