The Minor Capital Outlay Program provides funds to upgrade and/or renovate campus facilities to accommodate the academic program. Minor capital outlay funds are also used to implement accessibility projects to address the Americans with Disabilities Act, perform seismic strengthening evaluations, and fund seismic retrofits. These funds will be allocated to the campuses for preliminary planning, working drawings, and construction for projects with a total estimated cost of $250,000 or less. Effective Spring 2011, the cost limit for Minor Capital Outlay projects was increased from $400,000 to $600,000.
Every year the University submits to the Office of the Chancellor a prioritized list for state-funded Minor Capital Outlay projects. All interested divisions are invited to submit a prioritized list of projects for this funding.
