University Partners With Enterprise Rent-A-Car to Create New Vehicle Lease/Rental Program

Effective June 1, 2005, Cal Poly Pomona faculty and staff needing a vehicle for university business will use cars and vans exclusively from Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The new plan replaces the old Facilities Management Lease of Vehicle program. The partnership with Enterprise allows for free pickup and delivery service at the start and end of any rental period.

All university employees will receive a special government rate when renting vehicles for both business and personal use. The rate, which will be honored at all California Enterprise rental locations, also includes full damage waiver and supplemental liability insurance when using the vehicle for university business. University employees will not receive insurance coverage when using vehicles for personal use.

The university vehicle rates are as follows:

  • The above listed vehicles are pre-approved for Cal Poly Pomona departmental use.
  • Any vehicle upgrade, where payment is rendered by use of state funds, requires written justification and approval.
  • Please sign the appropriate boxes to accept these protections on the Enterprise Contract.
  • The required method of payment will be a DGS (State of California ) Blue Card or American Express Government Card . If using the DGS Blue Card, please submit a requisition and Enterprise Invoice to University Financial Services .
  • Free pickup and delivery is available to the campus during office hours with prior notice.

Reservations
To receive special rates in California, do one of three things:

  1. Book on the Internet at www.enterprise.com.
  2. Call 1-800-Rent-A-Car.
  3. Contact the branch directly.

Make sure to provide the customer number (NACSUPP) to receive a discount. All university employees also receive discounted rates when renting out of town.
