The University President shall appoint members to the Fee Committee, excluding the student representatives who shall be appointed by the Cal Poly Pomona Associated Students Inc. and the Cal Poly Pomona Residence Hall Council. The committee should reflect the diversity of the campus.
The voting members of the Fee Committee shall consist of nine (9) members and three (3) non-voting Ex-Officio members.
Two (2) Faculty Members nominated by the Academic Senate. The term is two years. (In the first year of the Fee Committee, the terms of service shall be one year and two years). Faculty members shall be appointed to the end of each academic year.
Two (2) Administrators nominated by the Vice Presidents and appointed by the President. Term of service is indefinite.
Three (3) Ex-Officio - One representative from Administrative Affairs, Student Affairs and the ASI Executive Director or his/her designee shall serve as non-voting members providing staff support to the committee.
Students appointed to the Fee Committee shall constitute a majority of the voting members of the committee.
Faculty appointed to the Fee Committee shall be nominated according to the rules and procedures of the Academic Senate.
A record of attendance shall be kept. Three (3) unexplained/unexcused absences per quarter, or too many absences (+5) shall be cause for termination of appointment.
Termination of a committee member for excessive absenteeism will be decided by a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the voting members of the committee. Vote shall be by secret ballot.
Student members of the committee shall each receive a monthly scholarship of One Hundred dollars ($100.00) for each month the student attends Fee Advisory Committee meetings.
The Vice Chair will receive a monthly scholarship of One Hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) for each month the student attends Fee Advisory Committee meetings.
The Chair will receive a monthly scholarship of Two Hundred dollars ($200.00) for each month the student attends Fee Advisory Committee meetings.
To be eligible, students must maintain nine (9) quarter units per term, a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) and not be on probation of any kind.
Scholarships are to be made available at the completion of the academic quarter served.
In the event that any student member has two or more unexcused absences within any one quarter from a regular Fee Committee meeting, this matter may result in the forfeiture of scholarships for that member.
Faculty, staff and ex-officio members of the Fee Committee are not eligible to receive scholarships for service on the Fee Committee.
