Finance Web Tools, the campus' financial reporting system is going away. A new financial reporting tool has been made available for campus employees as of October 1, 2009. All users of Finance Web Tools will be able to connect to the new Bronco Interactive Dashboards - Finance (BID-F). The campus' Budget Services department is teaming with I&IT to offer training on BID-F. Attending a training course is highly recommended as this newest tool is significantly different from Finance Web Tools. This course will provide an overview and training of Bronco Interactive Dashboards. Attendees will learn how to navigate the system and provide financial reports for their respective departments as well as research departmental purchase orders. Please sign up for training via Bronco Direct. The training will be conducted in Building 98, Room C5-15 (5 th floor).
A pilot group tested this tool and agreed that dashboard is a major improvement over what was available with Finance Web Tools. The final version of BID-F incorporated the input/feedback from this group, which included representatives from all five divisions. Bronco Interactive Dashboards was developed using OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition). Implementation partners in BID-F include Budget Services, Accounting Services, Administrative Affairs Information Systems, and Instructional and Information Technology (I&IT). More dashboards are currently under development.
Please note that Finance Web Tools will only be available through November 30, 2009. After that date the campus will move directly to BID-F as its only online financial analysis tool. All of the functionality of Finance Web Tools is available in BID-F.
