Celebrate Faculty

Provost’s Award for Excellence

The Provost’s Award for Excellence is a new award that recognizes outstanding faculty accomplishments in the areas of Teaching, Service, and Scholarly and Creative Activities. These awards are awarded for faculty accomplishments that exceed the norm expected of faculty at Cal Poly Pomona.

Advisors of the Year

The Outstanding Academic Advisor Awards recognize faculty and staff members who excel in helping students reach their potentials. The awardees are each chosen by faculty, staff and students from their college or division.

George Hart Awardee

The Hart Award recognizes faculty members who are regarded as role models and leaders, both on campus and in the community. The award was established in 1996 following the death of George P. Hart, a well-respected 30-year member of the Political Science department and an associate dean in the College of Letters, Arts & Social Sciences. Hart had also served on the Academic Senate for 15 years.

Golden Leaves

Celebrated annually since 1986, the Golden Leaves program honors members of the Cal Poly Pomona campus community who recently authored or edited a book. The event is jointly sponsored by the University Library and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. The event celebrates, not only campus authors, but also the book format, which has continued to remain viable throughout the course of many centuries.
