Vital Information for Applicants

Students may start Cal Poly Pomona in Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer Quarters but applications must be filed on schedule. It takes only $55 to apply for the quarter you want. Notice that the filing dates start quite a bit in advance of classes starting: Fall: Oct. 1 - Nov. 30 of the previous year; Winter: June 1 - 30 of the previous year; Spring: August 1 - 31 of the previous year; Summer: February 1 - 28 of the same year   Most Cal Poly Pomona programs close when full, so get your application in early. You can use a paper application or apply on line at http://www.csumentor.edu/AdmissionApp/ After that, watch your mail box for materials you need to complete the application and also for campus events you don't want to miss.

After Applying: Follow These Easy Steps For Success
#1 - Take the exams and placement tests as required

The EPT (English Placement Test) and ELM (Entry Level Mathematics) requirements are essential in your having a good start at Cal Poly Pomona. These exams establish your competencies and appropriate placement in courses. Check out the CSU application or the various flyers available. Web sites with information on these exams are also available as shown below. You may be exempt from the exams based on a number of considerations. You must meet the EPT and ELM requirements — make sure you find out how!

Educational Testing Service:

Cal Poly Pomona has its own MDPT (Math Diagnostic and Placement Test). You will need this to begin your engineering mathematics courses. Flyers are mailed but look at the Web as well:  http://www.csupomona.edu/~math or http://www.csupomona.edu/~math/students/elm/index.shtml
