PLTW Focus Your Future
The new PLTW materials are designed to enable anyone involved with the program to host a successful reception for girls and their parents to gain a deeper understanding of the benefits of a career in engineering and the PLTW® courses.
Do you have a proportional representation of girls in your school’s Project Lead The Way® classes? If not, you may want to try this new recruitment strategy from PLTW, inc. called Focus Your Future. Speaking with girls and their parents/guardians about the positive aspects of engineering is one successful strategy for recruitment. The materials are designed to enable anyone involved with the program to host a successful reception for girls and their parents to gain a deeper understanding of the benefits of a career in engineering and the PLTW® courses. Girls need to know that engineers are creative; they work cooperatively in teams, share ideas, and use their imagination to help others.
Engineer Your Life
