ABOUT
On Friday, May 30, 2008, the College of Engineering will host an evening of celebration. We will commemorate 50 years of hands-on learning and look toward the future of engineering education at Cal Poly Pomona. Nearly 300 alumni, industry, and friends of the College, as well as faculty and staff, will enjoy this special gathering. Guests will mingle with friends, enjoy a look back at the 50-year history, and explore the College of Engineering in the next era.
VIP ART GALLERY RECEPTION
The Kellogg Art Gallery at Cal Poly Pomona offers the perfect atmosphere for enjoying light appetizers, wine, and good conversation. The 50th Anniversary VIP Art Gallery Reception is a chance to become acquainted with friends of the College of Engineering. Admission tickets are $250 each and include complimentary food and drink, as well as admission to the Anniversary Dinner.
ANNIVERSARY DINNER
Guests will enjoy a look back at the College of Engineering’s 50-year history and learn about the future of engineering education at Cal Poly Pomona. Guest speaker, Dr. Patricia D. Galloway, author of "The 21st Century Engineer", will bring her experience and expertise in global engineering and construction to Cal Poly Pomona as she talks about the number one challenge facing engineers today.
Listen to live music and mingle with friends during a delicious buffet dinner that will include two carving stations, delicious side dishes, and assorted beverages, followed by a variety of decadent desserts. Admission tickets are $100 each. The Anniversary Dinner will be held at the Cal Poly Pomona Bronco Student Center in the Ursa Major Room (upper level).
Dress for the 50th Anniversary Celebration is business attire.
ENGINEERING NEIGHBORHOOD
The Engineering Neighborhood at Cal Poly Pomona includes facilities in buildings 9, 13, and 17, all situated around the Engineering Meadow.
