You are invited to engage with the campus, students, and other alumni and industry leaders at a College of Engineering student event. Engineering Project Symposium & Showcase Every May, more than 400 undergraduate and graduate students present dozens of projects and exhibits in approximately 20 simultaneous sessions for review by faculty, industry representatives, other students, and guests. This is a significant learning experience stressing teamwork, organization, and communication.
Sponsor an Engineering Team in a Collegiate Competition There are numerous engineering clubs that culminate the experience by participation in a collegiate competition. Because engineering in practice is a team effort, these activities are part of the preparation of an engineering student for entry into the profession. Involvement gives first-hand exposure to the rigor of engineering, demands of team leadership, and strengthens the time and resource management skills necessary for success.
Each May, nearly 200 student officers from 35 different engineering clubs attend a one day event, to learn important leadership skills as well as event planning, business etiquette, and more. This event helps the club officers transfer vital information and experience with each other in addition to establishing club objectives and planning activities for upcoming year.
