After 32 years in the water and wastewater industries, Peter Silva was appointed by President Obama to serve as the assistant administrator for water at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Silva supervises water office programs implementing the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Clean Water Act and provisions of several other laws to prevent water pollution and reduce risks for humans and ecosystems.
