Undergraduate Programs

The College of Engineering offers 11 Bachelor of Science Degrees in:

ARO

Aerospace Engineering
Program trains students in aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, flight mechanics and controls, astronautics, and systems engineering.  The Department has nine laboratories, including a Subsonic Wind Tunnel, a Supersonic Wind Tunnel, and an Uninhabited Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Laboratory.

CME

Chemical Engineering
Program offers a degree in Chemical Engineering, which includes work related to the design, construction and operation of plants for fuels, plastics, fibers, foods and pharmaceuticals. Because of their strong background in chemistry and materials processing, many chemical engineers also work for industry as environmental engineers.

CE

Civil Engineering
[Choose from options in General, Environmental, or Geospatial]
Program teaches students how to design, build, operate, and maintain the structures and infrastructure that form our modern society.  These facilities include buildings, bridges, highways, water supply systems, environmental protection systems, ports, railroads, dams, airports, and many others.

ECE

Electrical & Computer Engineering

Computer Engineering
Program trains undergraduate students in the fundamental electrical engineering principles, design of computer hardware and software, and embedded systems.

Electrical Engineering

Program trains students in the fundamentals of electrical engineering including communications, controls, instrumentation, electronics, illumination and power.  At the junior and senior level students may specialize in power, electronics, or controls and instrumentation

IME

Engineering Technology

Construction Engineering Technology
Program trains students in construction materials, drafting, computer applications, construction surveying, structural design, construction equipment, estimating, scheduling, accounting, project management, safety and law.

Electronics and Computer Technology
Program graduates work as technical members of the engineering team. They are well grounded in the principles necessary to apply current engineering methods and design procedures to solve practical technical problems currently found in industry.

General Engineering Technology
Program Mechanical emphasis stresses the application and design of mechanical and thermal power systems utilizing strength of materials, metallurgy, statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and heat transfer.

IME

Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering

Industrial Engineering

Program prepares students as problem solvers who can tackle the complex interactions associated with productivity of workers, capital and facilities. They design and implement quality improvement methods for a more efficient, safe, productive work place with proper working conditions.

Manufacturing Engineering
Program prepares students as experts in the design and analysis of complex computer-controlled manufacturing and automation systems. They determine the processes to use and sequence of operations required to produce the product.

ME

Mechanical Engineering
Program provides a quality, well-rounded education that is based on imparting fundamental knowledge and skills in mathematics and pure science as well as engineering science and design.
