Set up Your Wireless Connection

Verify Wireless Requirements:

Please verify that you have your network account information, wireless card, and appropriate software installation package. If not, please click here to review the requirements necessary for wireless access.

Setting up your Network Password:

• Log in to your Intranet Account with your BroncoName and BroncoPassword by going to My Control Panel. Once logged in, select the Account tab, scroll to Network Password and enter a password that is at least 8 characters (we recommend 15 characters) and different from the BroncoPassword you just logged in with. Click the Change Network Password button once you have typed a password in to set it.
• Your Wireless Network Password is now set. You will need this password to log on to the network with all wireless cards.

Instruction Guides - Configuring Your Wireless Connection:

The following instructions will assist you in configuring your wireless software package. Please choose your hardware type computer or wireless card for your appropriate software instructions.

• Dell 610 with built-in card
• Cisco Aironet 350 series cards
• Apple AirPort 2.0 cards
• Macintosh 10.54 - Leopard
• Windows XP without the Aegis software
• Windows Vista Enterprise
• Non-Cisco wireless cards which do not require the Aegis software.
• Non-Cisco wireless cards which require Aegis software to use LEAP authentication. (i.e. Netgear, Linksys, etc)
  
  Note: The Aegis client has not been in use for a few years now, and is no longer supported by Cisco. Most clients should support EAP-FAST or PEAP natively, and shouldn’t require a 3rd-party supplicant for authentication.

For information on how to install non-Cisco cards involving Aegis, contact the Help Desk. Log into Web Help Desk (WHD) and submit a Help Desk ticket to the Cal Poly Pomona Help Desk (you will need to know your BroncoName and BroncoPassword). If you can't log into WHD, use the help request form or stop by the I&IT Help Desk in Building 1, Room 100. The Help Desk is open Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM and Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (excluding state holidays and state furlough Fridays).
