What resources require a VPN connection?
The following
resources are centralized services that require
a VPN connection to work from off campus.
- Off-campus
access to the Exchange services
from your Outlook client
NOTE: Connecting
to Exchange from a web browser to http://exchange.csupomona.edu
does not require a VPN connection.
- Mapping
or mounting a file share (such as to \\files.csupomona.edu\winpublic)
- Terminal servers, including the general terminal server (ts.csupomona.edu) and the PeopleSoft terminal server (psts.csupomona.edu). Note: The PeopleSoft terminal server is used to access non-production data bases by "super" users and developers. This requires special authentication, whereas the general terminal server does not.
- The Hyperion software client. This is used as a front-end for accessing such services as BroncoData.
