Ironport has been configured such that minimal or no user configuration is needed to manage spam messages. However, mail clients (such as Outlook 2007) can be used to create rules filtering for the spam identifier “X-Spam-Flag: YES”. Within the subject field of an email, Ironport also prepends “[SPAM]” to spam messages and “[SUSPECTED SPAM]” to messages suspected as spam. Consequently, these subject tags may also be used for email client rules.
