Cal Poly Pomona provides a spam identification service utilizing “Ironport” technology provided by Cisco, Inc for all faculty, staff and students. The Ironport solution has replaced Cal Poly Pomona’s SpamAssasssin and antivirus implementations; it provides an easier method in managing spam messages for users while also limiting spam messages to users. This service will help significantly reduce spam quantities while providing email security and message filtering solutions.
