A limited number of Mac OS licenses are available to faculty and staff for on-campus use only.  Software can only be installed by a local campus technician responsible for the given machine.

Students are not licensed for this program.

Secure File Transfer Protocol Software

 

Fugu

Version: Fugu 1.2.0
Access:

Fugu is an open source Mac OS X front-end for Open SSH's SFTP client developed by the University of Michigan's Research Systems Unix Group (RSUG). It is a graphical shell for OpenSSH tools that provides a simple interface to all their features.

Additional information:

SSH is a terminal program that utilizes encryption to ensure that your password and all data sent and received during your session are kept safe. In order to secure the network, we are encouraging users to use encrypted protocols such as SSH to log into computers and transfer files between them.

For Mac, we recommend:

  2. Fugu (Graphical SSH Application)

PuTTY

PuTTY is a terminal emulator application which can act as a client for the SSH computing protocol. PuTTY is currently beta software. Licensed under the MIT License, PuTTY is free and open source software.

Cal Poly Pomona has a limited number of licenses for the SAS Education Analytic Suite. These licenses are primarily in the Colleges of Business, Science and Agriculture. If you are outside of these colleges and are interested in SAS, contact the Cal Poly Pomona Help Desk for assistance. Log into Web Help Desk (WHD) and submit a Help Desk ticket (you will need to know your BroncoName and BroncoPassword). If you can't log into WHD, use the help request form.

The SAS System (Statistical Analysis System) is an integrated system of software products provided by SAS Institute that enables programmers to perform data entry, retrieval, management and mining, statistical analysis, business planning, forecasting and decision support, operations research, project management, quality improvement, applications development, data warehousing, platform independent and remote computing. Additionally, the SAS System integrates with many SAS business solutions that enable large scale software solutions for areas such as human resource management, financial management, business intelligence, customer relationship management and more.

SAS states that the product is accessible, but also reports known accessibility issues with the following components:  SAS/AF, SAS/ASSIST, SAS/FSP, SAS/GIS, SAS/INSIGHT, SAS/LAB, SAS/SPECTRAVIEW, and Enterprise Reporter for the 9.1 platform, SAS/CALC.  If you are using these components for instruction, contact Carol Heins-Gonzales at X6457 with the Accessibility Technology Initiative (www.csupomona.edu/accessibility) for guidance to understand how the accessibility limitations may impact the learning outcomes for students.  As a student, if you are experiencing accessibility limitations, contact the Disability Resource Center at X3333 (http://dsa.csupomona.edu/drc/) to obtain assistance.”

HiSoftware 508 Compliance Software

Access:

The AccRepair license includes Link Validation Utility and Hi-Caption licensing:

  • AccVerify/Repair v11® (Single User/Single PC Desktop Software)
  • Link Validation Utility
  • Hi-Caption (Studio)

The software is available to specific technical staff only. The University System has acquired an enterprise software subscription license for HiSoftware’s desktop software AccRepair. The enterprise–wide license allows each campus to distribute AccRepair desktop product to faculty, administration and students via campus techs. Users are allowed to install AccRepair on university computers or computers used at home for university–only related work. Campus techs can contact the Help Desk at X6776 for available licenses.

Additional information: HiSoftware’s AccRepair desktop single user/single PC product allows developers, content providers and quality assurance staff to test and verify Web content for accessibility and to programmatically fix errors. Allowing for immediate testing and reporting at the desktop level, files can be tested locally or across a mapped networked drive. Automated browsing is available at the desktop level and is limited to 1,000 pages per scan.
