Macromedia Software

Following an agreement made by the CSU Chancellor’s Office, the Cal Poly Pomona Help Desk no longer processes orders for software published by Macromedia. These include Contribute and Dreamweaver. Faculty and staff will need to make their purchases through their department administration.

Purchasing guidelines :

Faculty and staff will contact their department’s administrative staff to request upgraded or new Macromedia products.
The department administrative staff will have their purchasing person submit the requisition to Procurement.
The Procurement staff will submit the requisition to the purchasing agent.
The purchasing agent will process the order through the CSU vendor, TRC, by using the following Web site: www.shoptrc.com/esite/csu
The purchasing agent will use a campus PO or Procurement Credit Card (“P-Card”) for the transaction.
TRC will take the order and verify the PO or P-Card number.
The department administrative staff will then be issued download instructions for the purchased software.

Subscription renewal does not entail repurchasing the product. With renewal the user will receive the software upgrades.

Although Macromedia recently merged with Adobe Systems, this agreement does not include Adobe products at this point. The two companies have not finalized how their products will be bundled.
