Cal Poly Pomona Mailman Setup

Mailman is an email list system that allows its users to send email messages to all members in a group by sending an email to one group email address.

For example, if a Help Desk staff member wants to send an email to all 10 members of the Help Desk group then they would email helpdesk@mailman.csupomona.edu. This email would then be sent to the email addresses of all 10 members of the Help Desk.

In other words, if you want to send messages to a certain group of people without the hassle of entering in their email addresses individually you can simply set up a Mailman mailing list with a group email alias; then, any email sent to this alias will automatically be forwarded to all of your list’s subscribers.
