1. In Netscape go to Edit > Preferences and expand Mail & Newsgroups, then click on Addressing.
2. Checkmark "Directory Server: and click the button "Edit Directories…"
   
3. The LDAP Directory Servers window will appear, click on the "Add" button
   
4. The Directory Server Properties window will open. Type in the following information, for "Name:" enter "Cal Poly LDAP", "Hostname:" is "ldap.csupomona.edu", "Base DN:"is "dc=csupomona,dc=edu". Then click OK.
   
5. Then click on OK in the LDAP Directory Servers window.
   
6. Go to Tasks > Address Book and click on "Cal Poly LDAP"
7. In the field "Name or Email contains:" type in a name to do a search. Click the "Clear" button to do another search.
8. The results will display below the name you typed and to send an email to a person click on their name and then click the "New Message" button. Also, more detailed information about the person you clicked on is displayed at the bottom of the window such as their phone number and email address.
