LCT Initiative: Faculty Laptops

The second component of the Learning-Centered Technology Initiative is the distribution of laptops to individual tenured and tenure-track faculty members.

Beginning in spring 2005 through fall 2007 more than 530 laptops were delivered.

Eligible faculty chose a Dell laptop or an Apple Macintosh MacBook Pro.

If faculty require assistance in choosing which laptop would best meet their needs, they may contact their college tech (http://www.csupomona.edu/~ehelp/techs.html) or Marcy Gates (mgates@csupomona.edu).

New tenure-track faculty starting in Academic Year 2008-2009 will choose one of two laptops, either a Windows laptop or a Macintosh. Preliminary specifications for each are listed below. Please note that specifications may change slightly at any time. The new tenure-track faculty member's choice must be approved by their dean and their college technical support specialist. For further information on the sign-up process, contact Faculty Affairs.
