These step-by-step instructions are meant to guide new Cal Poly Pomona employees (faculty and staff) through the BroncoIdentity account claiming process. This document provides three sections: steps for Tenure-track faculty, steps for all other new state employees, and one set of instructions for the BroncoIdentity Account Claiming Process, which is to be used by all.
NOTE: These instructions do not apply to student assistants as they will use their existing BroncoNames and BroncoPasswords.
After you have signed and returned your offer of employment from Cal Poly Pomona, Faculty Affairs will provide a Personal Data form and an Information Access and Confidentiality form along with instructions for completion of the forms. Return the completed forms to Faculty Affairs. Faculty Affairs will then submit your faculty appointment letter and the completed forms to Payroll Services for processing.
Payroll Services will inform the Division of Instructional and Information Technology (I&IT) when your appointment has been entered. I&IT will mail you a letter providing your unique BroncoNumber and Claim Code. Additionally, they will provide information about I&IT services in support of learning, including the faculty laptop program.
When you receive your BroncoNumber and Claim Code, return to this eHelp page and follow the steps in the BroncoIdentity Account Claiming Process Instructions section below.
