General Information about the Unofficial Transcript

The unofficial transcript is the record of your academic history. If you believe there are errors in the document, please contact a Records Specialist in the Registrar’s Office at 909-869-4900. An explanation of the sections within the unofficial transcript follows:

Header contains personal information such as student name, BroncoNumber, birth month/day, and date the unofficial transcript was run.

University Memorandum contains GWT results and any general comments or information that is not term related.

The Degree Conferred section appears if the student has graduated and contains degree, plan(s), sub-plan(s), minor(s), and conferral date information.

The Plan section lists a student’s current plan(s), sub-plan(s), and minor(s). Please Note:As of 5/25/05, this section may erroneously display all historical as well as current plans/sub-plans. Also, if an undergraduate degree has been conferred and the student is currently attending at the post-baccalaureate level, the current plan should be listed but it is not. Changes are planned for this section to correctly display the current plan/sub-plan.

Undergraduate Totals include units attempted, units earned, grade points, and GPA for Cumulative, Cal Poly Pomona, and Transfer coursework. Grade point balance is available for Cumulative and Cal Poly Pomona coursework. Units attempted includes all college-level coursework including CR/NC classes. Note that for post-baccalaureate students who did not complete any undergraduate work at Cal Poly Pomona, the undergraduate section will appear with zeros for all of the data.

Post-baccalaureate Totals includes the same information as Undergraduate Totals and will follow the undergraduate totals, if a student has post-baccalaureate work.

Undergraduate or Post-baccalaureate Record is a header that denotes the level of the coursework to follow in that section. If a student has both Undergraduate and Post-baccalaureate coursework, the Undergraduate Record will be listed first. Please Note: As of 5/25/05, this section is reporting plans/sub-plans. This is repetitive information and will be corrected.

Transfer Credit follows the Undergraduate Record header if a student has transfer work. The summary provides totals for transfer work by each institution attended.

Term by Term information includes the quarter and the coursework taken including course title, instructor, grade, related credit, and grade points for each course. See below for definition of codes in the REF field. Academic standing is determined at the point of grading and is listed for each term. The student’s plan/sub-plan is listed below the term header each time there is a change in plan and/or sub-plan.

Definition of codes that may appear in the REF column:

Current/In-Progress coursework is noted by “IN PROGRESS” printed where term totals will appear after grading.

Future coursework is noted by “REGISTERED” printed where term totals will appear after grading.

Cumulative Totals complete the academic record, listing a summary of Cal Poly Pomona, Transfer and Overall coursework.
