Your Account:

Q. Where do I log into BroncoDirect?

A. Click on the BroncoDirect link from any campus web page.

Q. How do I change my BroncoPassword?

A. Visit I&IT's eHelp page at http://www.csupomona.edu/~ehelp/idm/pw.html. This page provides step-by-step instructions on how to change your BroncoPassword.

Q. I previously only listed one Emergency Contact. Can I name more than one?

A. Yes. You can name multiple Emergency Contacts. Your current Emergency Contact will be listed on your Personal Information Summary. You can change the primary contact, edit, delete and add Emergency Contacts.

Q. I am moving, but don't want my address change to take effect until next month. Can I update it now and have it take effect next month?

A. Yes. On the Employee Self-Service page:

  1. Click on “Change home/mailing addresses”.
    1. This will take you to the “Home and Mailing Address” page.
  2. Click on the “Edit” button and enter your new address.
  3. The final field “Date Change Will Take Effect” will have the current date displayed. If a future date is typed in this field, the address change will take effect on that day.

Q. I am changing my address. Is there anything else I might need to update/change as a result of my address change?

A. Yes. You may also need to update the following:

*If you have a U.S. Savings Bond Deduction and the address of the registered owner is changing, you must complete a new United States Savings Bonds Purchase/Payroll Deduction Authorization, STD. 242.

**If you have other deductions, you must also change your address directly with the deduction company. Our employee data is not sent and/or transmitted to voluntary deduction companies or organizations.

Q. Are there any standard naming conventions to use when changing my address?

A. Yes. We've included instructions both on the “Home and Mailing Address” page and in the “ PeopleSoft & Employee Self-Service” on eHelp. These instructions provide you with a list of standard abbreviations, such as avenue equals “Ave” and boulevard equals “Blvd”. Also, please spell the entire city name for your address, do not abbreviate. And please use the two letter abbreviation for state, as listed in the Address Standards.

Q. What does the extension field mean in the phone number entry?

A. Please do not use the extension field to put in your campus telephone extension. You would only use this field if your contact telephone number (home, cellular, etc.) includes an extension.

Q. I've changed my name. Can I update my name on Employee Self-Service?

A. Name changes cannot be made through Employee Self-Service. To file a name change, you will need to first update your record with the Social Security Administration and obtain a new Social Security Card that reflects your new name. Federal and State regulations, as well as CSU policy, require that Payroll Services validate that each employee's name and social security number on record exactly matches the name and social security number that appears on the individual's Social Security Card. This is to ensure proper tax reporting. For details on how to change your name, please visit the “Name Change” page on Payroll Services' website at: http://www.csupomona.edu/~payroll/name_changes.shtml.

Q. Will Employee Self-Service work just as well on Macs as it does on Windows machines?

A. Yes, PeopleSoft supports browsers on Mac OS 9 and OS X, so BroncoDirect, including the Employee Self-Service, functions work just as well on a Mac as it does on a PC.

Q. Who do I contact if I need assistance?

A. If you experience any BroncoDirect login problems or Internet Browser issues, please contact the Cal Poly Pomona Help Desk for assistance. Submit a Help Desk ticket or stop by the I&IT Help Desk with your Bronco Access Card or another photo ID so we can better assist you. The I&IT Help Desk is located in Building 1, Room 100. It is open from Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM - 9:00 PM and Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (excluding state holidays).
