Blackboard is a course management or learning management environment. It is designed to facilitate online courses, but it can also be used to supplement regular courses with online features. It provides organizational and document management tools, discussion boards, chat rooms, a calendar, quiz and test modules, a Gradebook, and many other features.
Before logging onto Blackboard, you will need your BroncoName and your BroncoPassword.
If you don’t know your BroncoName, go to Cal Poly Pomona home page at:
Click on “Current Students” in the green bar near the top. Then
click on “People Search” on the right hand side. Type your name
into the search dialog box, and click on search. This will bring up your Cal
Poly Pomona email address. The name before the “@” sign is you
BroncoName.

All students must claim their Bronco account before you may log into you Blackboard course. You should receive a letter regarding account claiming once you are admitted. It is a good idea to change the password to something more secure such as using numbers in combination with letters.
If you need help changing your password or if you have forgotten you password contact Helpdesk at (909) 869-6776.
If you know your BroncoName and Bronco Password, you can log in by going to: https://blackboard.csupomona.edu/
Click the “Blackboard Login ” button. In the dialog box on the upper right hand side, type in your BroncoName and your BroncoPassword.
